The Mansfield Philharmonic is an all-volunteer string ensemble consisting of high school and college students, teachers, active musicians, business professionals, and more.
MansPhil also collaborates with local guest artists and the Mansfield Wind Symphony for full-orchestra repertoire. The Mansfield Philharmonic was founded on the principles of providing accessible and quality musical engagement for all ages whilst promoting the cultural arts through communal outreach and education.
Ric Flauding is a uniquely gifted artist, composer, arranger, and performer. He has been called a "poet without words" because of the dramatic emotional content of his music. Currently Ric teaches performance, composition, and jazz improv at Weatherford College. He works with the jazz studies program and has completed compositions and arrangements for the WC Jazz Band, and also teaches privately at his studio in Texas and online with students in the U.S. and various foreign countries.
